Are you missing a series of teeth or all your teeth? Are you unhappy with the way your smile looks? Do you want to discuss tooth replacement options with your dentist?
Dentures are a popular tooth replacement option that are recommended when a patient prefers them over dental implants or the patient is not a good candidate for dental implants. Dentures have come a long way over the past couple of decades and are relied on to provide natural-looking smiles to those who are missing teeth.
The team at Pioneer Dental Group is proud to be able to offer you high-quality, affordable dentures in Oregon City. If you are interested in our superior dentures, we recommend that you schedule an appointment with Dr. Pioch to discuss them.
Types of Dentures We Offer
- Partials – replace a series of missing teeth
- Full dentures – replace all the teeth in your upper and/or lower jaws
- Temporaries – placed immediately while you wait for permanent dentures
- Implant-retained dentures – support dentures using implants and a bar
- Implant-supported dentures – support dentures for permanent stability
Temporary or Immediate Dentures
Dr. Pioch offers temporary or immediate dentures to those who are in need of an immediate fix to their missing teeth. Temporaries are typically used once a patient has had their teeth extracted. After the extraction, temporary dentures are placed in the mouth to provide the patient with a way to talk and smile without the worry of no teeth.
It is important to know that with temporary dentures, they are just that – temporary. You will need to come back in and have them switched out with permanent dentures once they come back from the lab.
Implant-Supported and Implant-Retained Dentures
Implant-retained and implant-supported dentures are different than traditional removable dentures. For this procedure, you will have implants placed into your bone, where they will fuse together and create a strong foundation for your replacement teeth. Instead of having individual crowns placed on top of the implants, you will have dentures secured to the top of the posts with either a bar and attachments, or a ball-and-socket system. We can even adjust your current dentures to secure them with implants.
The dentures are locked into place and will remain there so that you don’t have to worry about slipping, gum irritation, or gooey adhesives anymore!
